Pirates 5-0 to start season. Class Challenge very close to $50,000

New head coach John Lemmons has our Pirates sailing towards the playoffs with a 5-0 record.  The Pirates are averaging 38 points a game while yielding just 11 points a game.

Pirate alumni have been just as successful.  Our most recent large cash contribution was $500 from Bill Ferguson, class of 1954.  The gift propelled Bill’s class into the top 10.

  • Pete’s classes have given $49,646 to date.  Not bad for less than a half a years effort.  Please consider making a contribution by hitting that ‘Donate’ button.  It won’t take much to reach $50,000.
  • While the Class Challenge has been focusing on Pete’s teams, other years will not be left adrift.  We are hoping that players from the Kent Wigle era will attend the Wigle field dedication this October, Friday the 13th and the auction on Saturday the 14th.  Attend one or both activities.  The weekend is sure to be a wonderful social event.  Be sure to check out this link for more Wigle Weekend information.
  • Here’s a great idea from Bill Whiteman & Gail Holte Whiteman (’56).  The Whiteman’s have pledged $1,000 over time.  They will be making periodic $100 contributions until they reach their goal.  That is a good way to plan.  Periodic contributions towards a personal goal allow Pirates to time their donations around other expenses.

The Raise the Roof Committee would like to thank all of you Pirates who have made our campaign a success so far.  We have raised well over $100,000 in cash and in-kind donations.  With Phase 1 complete, we will enter Phase 2.  Phase 2 will culminate with the raising of the roof.  Our goal is to raise the roof in time for the 2018 football season.
