The winter term sports season is not quite over and it has been quite the success so far. Both the boys and girls basketball teams will be making a trip to the state tournament this Thursday. The girls were undefeated in district and are ranked number one in state. The boys finished as co-champions in district and are ranked number five.

Our swimmers swept both the boys and girls district championships under the direction of 30 plus years head coach Kathe McNutt. The boys went on to take home a second place trophy at state. The girls brought home a 4th place trophy, with Anna Hutchins winning the state title in the 200 free style.

Our wrestlers won the district championship and sent nine wrestlers to state. The Pirates finished ninth overall at state with three wrestlers picking up individual trophies – two third place trophies and a fifth place trophy.

The Dance team finished the season by bringing home a sixth place trophy. The Cheer team finished 1oth at state while competing against much larger schools. 10th placed placed the cheer team ahead of Bend and south Medford. Go Pirates!
