The Pirate football team opened the 2025 season on the road last weekend with a 43-30 win at Crater. This Friday, September 5th, the Pirates host the Siulsaw Vikings. The Siuslaw game will serve as a backdrop to all of the recent additions to the Raise the Roof project, including a long ADA ramp (see photos below). All Coos Bay School District students get in FREE. 6th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult. Kickoff is 7:00 PM.
Siuslaw’s coaching staff has strong ties to the Marshfield football program. Siuslaw’s head coach is Sam Johnson, the grandson of Marshfield Hall of Famer John Johnson. Sam’s father, Andy, is an assistant for Siuslaw, and Sam’s cousin, Nick, is the defensive coordinator.
